1. Tuân Tử (Xunzi)’s teaching and Karl Marx’ theory.

Tuân Tử (荀子; 313 BC – 238 BC; Xunzi = Xun Kuang (/ˈʃʊn ˈkwɑːŋ/; Chinese: 荀況; pinyin: Xún Kuàng [ɕy̌n kʰwâŋ]; c. 310 – c. 235 BC, alt. c. 314 – c. 217 BC) [1, 1b] was an Oriental philosopher during the Warring State Period of ancient China, he said more than 2200 years ago: “Human beings are instinctively cruel, selfish” (Xunzi believed that humanity’s inborn tendencies were evil, Tuân Tử: “Nhân chi sơ tính bản ác”).

Marx predicted the demise of capitalism through a workers’ revolution that would lead to a utopian “classless society” where, according to Marx, “people work according to their ability and get according to their needs” and “in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.” [2]

2. Karl Marx’ societies in practice.

2a- The Russian communist revolution led by Stalin wanted to set up that World. Here are some of the results:

That includes the principle of the personal responsibility – of a businessman, an investor or a share-holder – for his or her own decisions. Another thing – handling crisis must not turn into financial populism, into rejecting a responsible macro-economic policy. Unreasonable expansion of the budget deficit, accumulation of the national debt – are as destructive as an adventurous stock market game.

2b- In “Communist” China, the students espousing Karl Marx’ theory and practice are paradoxically arrested for preaching Karl Marx’s theory to poor workers ! [5, 6, 7].

There is also a criticism about the states of the poor workers:

“During the Mao Zedong years, China was a poor socialist country. Now China is a poor capitalist country. Overall, the average Chinese did not get the benefit,” he said. [7b, 7c]

3. Deficiency of Karl Marx’ theory

Karl Marx’ teaching could not address one of human long known characteristics of being cruel and selfish.

This unaddressed issue has turned Karl Marx’ dream society into one where people pretend to work, the state pretends to have satisfied all their needs. and power pampers, corrupts officials while neglecting low level workers.

4. Even attempting to look Marxist had made Venezuela bankrupt.

Venezuela is an oil rich country. It wanted to set up a “Socialist” political system. Its inflation is now rampant and its people are running around for food.

The recovery of oil prices in the early 2000s gave Venezuela oil funds not seen since the 1980s. The government then established populist social welfare policies that initially boosted the economy and increased social spending reducing economic inequality and poverty. However, such… policies later became inadequate, causing the nation’s collapse as their excesses—including a uniquely extreme fossil fuel subsidy—are widely blamed for destabilizing the … economy.

The destabilized economy led to a crisis resulting in hyperinflation, an economic depression, shortages of basic goods and drastic increases in unemployment, poverty, disease, child mortality, malnutrition and crime.

By 2017, Venezuela was declared to be in default In 2018, the country’s economic policies led to extreme hyperinflation, with estimates expecting an inflation rate of 1,370,000% by the end of the year. [8]

5. Conclusion.

Karl Marx’s theory cannot be applied to any nation on this earth.

This art requires strict discipline. A debater against propagandists must set down the following rules to protect fairness to himself and to his cause:

1. All debate will be promptly and RUDELY finished for any debate participant violating the mutually agreed debating rules.

2. The mutually agreed debating rules should be clearly laid out and should include:

2a- Only one person should talk at a time.

2b- No unneeded attribute should be made against the opposing side.

For example:

The addressing mode “Mr A” is acceptable but “The arrogant Mr. A” is not acceptable in any debate between Mr. A and a propagandist.

2c- Questions and answers must be alternated between debating participants to give an apparent sense of fairness.

Reporters should only be allowed to ask questions and should not be allowed to debate with interviewees. (Some BBC “reporters” have now become actually debaters, asking questions but not letting interviewees giving answers/replies).

2d- Any reply must be (in English) understandable by any 8th grader (the old standard for legal document) shorter than 100 words and should be no longer than 3 minutes.

2e. Any reply full of self-referential argument must be re-phrased in concise statements to be (in English) understandable by any 8th grader (the old standard for legal document) shorter than 100 words and should be no longer than 3 minutes.

2f- The re-phrasal should preferably be then summarized by the other side in his own term to avoid any terminology trap.

2g- All reply must end up with a definite answer to the question asked. The answer must be

some required word or a

“Yes”,

“No”, or

“I don’t know” or “I am not sure”.

2h- During the reply by one side the other side must keep absolutely quiet until the responder has exceeded his allocated reply time or has declared that his reply has ended.

Beware of the jeering crowds: Propagandists are often accompanied by their own jeering crowds to insult their opponents. This is also often seen in Australian Parliament with the “honorable” parliamentarians forming undesirable disorderly jeering crowds. Their jeer-words are usually “racist”, “Nazist”, “sexist”, “xenophobe”, “homophobe”, “**phobe”, “anti-**”, and lately “deplorable”.

2i- Even the two questions allowed to reporters at press conferences have to conform to these rules.

“A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists;
At the discretion of the President or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor;
‘Yielding the floor’ includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner;
Failure to abide by any of rules (1)-(3) may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist’s hard pass.”

3- Dis-ambiguity is essential in any debate against propagandists.

For example, it must be clarified whether the attribute Z mentioned by a propagandist means:
a- a religion or
b- a race, an ethnic group or
c- a nationality,
and different replies are given according to different meanings.

Do NOT allow a propagandist to morph his argument from one meaning to another to derail and ridicule your argument.

Soviet officials have been said to be quite good at this dis-ambiguity on their immigration works while English officials are hopelessly unable to make any dis-ambiguity.

The following are examples of propagandists morphing the language to ridicule their opponents with their accompanying jeering crowds.

Worried about Islamic immigration? Racist

The one huge problem with multiculturalism

The key words to note are Islamic and racist. The answer should be:

You are confused between religions and races.

Don’t like how your community has turned from English speaking to Chinese, Vietnamese, or Arabic? Racist.

The key words to note are English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic languages and racist. The answer should be:

You are confused between national languages, national coherence and races. We respect each of Chinese, Vietnamese, or Arabic languages, but in our country we expect everyone to speak a common language so that we can know what each other communicates, thinks and expects. Common language makes national coherence.

Worried that our immigration system is eroding all that remains of the Anglo-European aesthetic of Australian communities? Racist.

The one huge problem with multiculturalism

The key words to note are Anglo-European aesthetic and racist.The answer should be:

You are confused between national culture, national norm, national values and races. We built this nation from the Anglo-European aesthetic of Australian communities and we want to preserve it. So do the people of nations of other cultures, they also want to preserve theirs in their own nations.

4. The use of any evidence beyond those cited in encyclopedias must be agreed upon in prior. The evidence must be equally accessible by both sides with adequate time to examine their authenticity. Otherwise refuse to take at face value any evidence supplied by propagandists.

Example:

Propagandist: Australia had decided to go multi-cultural.

The meaning of multiculturalism has changed significantly since its formal introduction to Australia. Originally … as a need for acceptance that many members of the Australian community originally came from different cultures and still had ties to it. However, it came to mean the rights of migrants … to express their cultural identity. [7]

Debater must refute that statement at face value: Who decided ? Have the people been asked in any referendum ? It has not been in the constitution or any national law.

Remember that propagandists will stop at nothing. To fool people, they are ready to fabricate false “evidence”, apply selective justice and employ all methods to silence their critics (“laws” against criticizing their arguments, Denial of Service attacks against opponent websites and even murders of their critics).

5. The use of any theory, terminology beyond the understanding of 8th graders in any debate must be agreed upon in prior. The theory must be equally accessible by both sides.

Example: Karl Marx’s books or Mao Tse Tung’s books must be readily available to both sides. Any special interpretation must also be available to both sides before debate.

6. Use exactly the past arguments by a propagandist against his current own argument.

Leftists advocated North Vietnam waging war in South Vietnam because South Vietnam did not carry out the referendum for re-unification agreed in Geneva 1954.

Debaters against leftists should use that same argument of NO FREE ELECTION to support Arabian Spring or colour revolutions and attack their defending of Iraqi S. Hussein and Libyan M. M. A. M. Gaddafi.

50MWh capacity for 6 years (=2200 cycles) provides 50MWh×2200 = 110 GWh.

The battery should not cost more than
110GWh×(20c/kWh) = 22M (AUD)

If it costs more than 22 Million Dollars then it is not viable as the cost of the battery alone is twice the wholesale price of electricity from coal.

If it costs less than 5 Million then it may be the way for the future (provided there is no new environment problems cause by lithium ion batteries).

The estimate of a 6 years life for a Lithium Ion battery is an over-estimation (? [14]) of its actual life. Any such actual battery may last 6 years or even longer but its capacity steadily declines over time to about 1/2 of initial capacity after 3 years, as has been seen with the common experience on laptops and smart phones powered by Lithium Ion batteries.

The advertised price for a 10kW battery system for home use is AUD 10,000 with another AUD 10,000 subsidization by the Australian State of Victoria. (Home owner pays 10000+2700 AUD to have both a battery and a Solar Photo-Voltaic System, Victoria State pays the rest).[11]

There are three similar types of Ponzi schemes. They are:

1. Privately run Ponzi schemes:

Plan: Members are paid by joining fees of growing number of new members.

Winner: Early members.
Losers: Latest members.

Status: Illegal in US, Australia and most English speaking countries.

Fatal flaw:

Number of members must grow exponentially.

2. Local government run Pension schemes:

Plan: Members are paid generously by contribution of growing number of new members.

Winner: Early members.
Losers: Latest members.

Status: Some Pension funds in the US have run into financial problems [1].

Fatal flaws:

Number of members must grow exponentially and contributions by members must generate net investment profits.

3. Socialist national welfare schemes run by many nations:

Plan: Overly generous welfare benefits (payments for no work, unlimited health care funded by governments) for citizens and service payments to corporations are paid by taxes on growing number of new citizens, corporations and growing national debts [2, 3].

Winner: Early citizens, early corporations.

Losers: Latest citizens and latest corporations prior to the collapse, national identity, national coherence.

Status: Venezuela, Brazil currently have serious financial short fall. California is heading to bankruptcy. Australia is running out of space in cities.

Fatal flaws:

Number of citizens, their productivity and national mortgageable debt securities must grow exponentially.

Number of citizens may be limited by the physical environment of each nation. The whole area of each country cannot be urbanized. Each nation may also run out of assimilable prospective immigrants. Beyond this point, further immigration may cause Pockets of Foreign Settlements and No Go Zones [4]. The nation may then lose its coherence through “Multi-culturalism” and “Cultural and Language Diversity” [5, 6]. The nation will then be under foreign pressure [7, 8] from countries of origin of its immigrants [9]. This may lead to a dissolution of the nation or even its take over by another nation [10, 11,12].

If left totally to himself, a politician without any attachment to the national culture would go for the easy option of running this Ponzi scheme on national scale.
