Power grab and Police brutality: Man stomped on during police arrest in Melbourne’s north in induced coma, lawyer says – ABC News

Comment by tonytran2015: Everyday it becomes more obvious that there is a hidden agenda by Victorian government:

1/- Tracing is not a priority in the state.

2/- There is no transparent announcement of outbreaks to facillitate tracing, in stark contrast to NSW and QLD.

3/- Curfew had been asked for by neither Chief Health Officer nor Police Commissioner.

4/- Bureaucratic Work permits have been introduced.

5/- Police brutality is used to intimidate the population.

6/- State Premier loves and has extended emergency power.

7/- Reopening targets have been deliberately set too difficult.

The HIDDEN AGENDA is to make the state dependent on Chinese One Belt One Road Initiative the Premier had signed up for.

  • Victoria Police has referred the arrest to its internal complaints body
  • Lawyer Jeremy King says his client was suffering from mental health issues before the arrest
  • He has called for an independent investigation into the arrest to ensure it is done “objectively”

Footage of the man’s arrest was posted to social media, including a moment when one of the officers making the arrest stomps on the head of the man as he lies on the ground, surrounded by other officers.

Robinson and Gill principal lawyer Jeremy King, who is representing the arrested man, said his client had not committed a crime and was being treated for mental health issues at the time of the arrest.

“Really he’s a person that the police should be dealing with in a very unique way,” he said.
