National cabinet considering whether to cut international arrival numbers – ABC News

push for national cabinet to cut the passenger cap by “at least 50 per cent or 75 per cent”.

The majority are stranded in India, the UK, the United States, the Philippines and Thailand.

Cutting the number of arrivals would be… a necessary one, according to Victorian Premier Dan Andrews.

“Our international borders are supposed to be closed right now … and I think the Federal Government needs to be stricter with the exemptions they’re providing to people to come here.
