…One document reviewed by RCI reveals that a Biden associate admitted “finding employment” for Hunter Biden specifically as a special favor to his father, then a Senate leader running for president. He secured a $1.2 million gig on Wall Street for his young son, even though it was understood he had no experience in high finance. Many of his generous patrons, in turn, ended up with legislation and policies favorable to their businesses or investments, an RCI review of lobbying records and legislative actions taken by the elder Biden confirms…
… Recently, we discussed how House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff stated publicly that the recently disclosed laptop information from Hunter Biden was clearly part of a Russian intelligence operation. This morning, John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence, stated categorically that Hunter Biden’s laptop was not part of a Russian disinformation campaign. What is most notable is that Ratcliffe has stated that Schiff and his Committee were given that conclusion by the intelligence community. The incident has raised lingering criticism of Schiff who previously told the public that he had clear evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia after that allegation was rejected in repeated investigations, including Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Schiff never produced the incriminating evidence and later it was shown that the widely cited Steele dossier was based on a source who was considered to be a Russian agent…
… Video of Biden’s encounter, which was shared on social media by President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, shows that the Democrat nominee refused to even listen to the reporter’s question, opting to walk away as soon as the reporter mentions the word “FBI.”…
…Joe Biden should address corruption allegations in connection with Ukraine before resuming dealings with Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, said on Facebook on Saturday…
Comment by tonytran2015: Premier Andrew set the target for easing restriction to be an average of 5 new case daily (on a rolling 14 days average). The Federal Government said that the target was too hard and now the easing has been made by the Premier even when the daily average is still 9 new cases, ways above his target of 5 cases per day. The daily average is now well hidden to save the Premier from embarassment. But the true motive of the lockdown may be to DIVERT attention from the Inquiry’s question of why and by whom private security was employed so that it caused the disastrous Covid-19 outbreak in the city. The Inquiry is now near its end.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced an easing of some restrictions to life under lockdown in the state from 11:59pm tonight, including the extension of the 5km travel rule to 25km and increasing the number of people allowed at outside gatherings to 10….
Comment by tontran2015: This is the extreme form of governing by deniability.
Professor Sutton was grilled again about his knowledge about the use of private security in hotel quarantine.
He apologised … “If I missed an email, I’m sorry. It hasn’t registered. I get thousands of emails … I was never involved about the decision.” … “I did not have a command control role. And as I said to the inquiry at the time, my public health team were trying to make a case for stronger oversight from the public health team, so I was keen.”
The Premier says she’s done nothing wrong, and that the relationship, which ended about a month ago, was part of her private life.
The ICAC played more than 10 telephone conversations between the two, in which Mr Maguire talks about a deal involving land near the Western Sydney Airport that would potentially clear his debts of around $1.5 million.
The commission pressed the Premier on whether she knew what her then-partner was up to.
… Following the publication of the New York Post’s bombshell story about the Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine, Facebook and Twitter worked hard to suppress the story across their platforms. The censorship comes just weeks after executives from both firms joined the Biden transition team…
Comment by tonytran2015: There is no justification for buying at ten times market value. If no fair deal can be mutually agreed upon the government can use its power of compulsory acquisition and only need to pay slightly over market price.
- An audit found the Federal Government paid 10 times the value of the land
- The land was purchased in 2018, 32 years before it will be needed for an expansion of the airport development
- The minister responsible previously blamed departmental officials for approving the purchase
Comment by tonytran2015: The Premier of Victoria denied that the disastrous decision to employ private security at the quarantine hotels came from any one in his cabinet and so it just appeared out of nowhere. He decided that the former Minister of Health was responsible although she had no opportunity to make any decision. She then said that the disastrous decision would not come if no one had decided to make it. There is something fishy here.
Hotel quarantine inquiry to hold an ‘extraordinary sitting’
Victoria’s hotel quarantine inquiry has just announced it’ll hold an “extraordinary sitting” on next Tuesday afternoon.
… it follows calls from the Opposition this weekto re-examine key evidence and recall witnesses in light of several new revelations.
One of them was contained in phone logs from Chris Eccles, who was in charge of Premier Daniel Andrews’s department. The logs showed the Mr Eccles phoned former police chief Graham Ashton during a crucial six-minute window on the day the hotel quarantine inquiry was set up. Earlier, Mr Ashton had been unable to remember who called him that day to tell him private security would be used in the quarantine hotels. … Mr Eccles said his phone call to Mr Ashton did not mean the decision to use private security came from him or the Premier’s department – but he resigned on Monday anyway,
Professor Sutton told the inquiry he did not know private security was being used to guard returned travellers at quarantine hotels until late May, after there was an outbreak at the Rydges on Swanston hotel. But according to evidence from Jenny Mikakos – the state’s former health minister, who recently quit – Professor Sutton was among officials who were sent an email that mentioned the use of private security, more than a month earlier.
The March 27 email said certain points relating to hotel quarantine had been “agreed” at a National Cabinet meeting, including: “enforcement by S&T [state and territory] governments keen for police not to babysit, but called in as needed (e.g. use private security)”Ms Mikakos said in her statement that the email was provided to the inquiry but never tendered, and no witnesses were ever questioned about it….
